Nature’s Orbit proudly represented 24 tribes from the eight northeastern states at the inaugural Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav 2024, organized by NEHHDC, DoNER, and NEC.
A session and workshop on climate action, promoting environmental awareness and sustainability among 10,000 attendees, aligning with SDG 4 and SDG 13.
The Golden Pagoda Marathon, held on 9th February 2025 in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, focused on promoting sustainability and minimising environmental impact. The event emphasised eco-friendly practices like waste segregation, recycling, and responsible disposal. Proactive Sports India (Pvt) Ltd. initiated the waste management program, supported by Nature’s Collective Foundation. Waste reduction efforts included diverting 11 kg of snack packaging, 4 kg of disposable cups, and 53 kg of miscellaneous dry waste, such as banners and boxes. Additionally, 75 kg of food waste was successfully composted, demonstrating a commitment to reducing landfill waste and promoting environmental responsibility.
The Northeast International Fashion Week was more than just an event – it was a powerful movement toward sustainability. Students from Downtown University showcased their creativity by designing stunning outfits made from waste materials. They walked the ramp alongside professional models, demonstrating the potential of eco-friendly fashion. The students also created breathtaking sustainable props, emphasizing innovation and environmental consciousness. Their dedication and hard work truly stole the show, proving that sustainability and style can go hand in hand. This event marked a significant step in the fashion industry's shift toward a more sustainable future.
